We build on full frost-depth foundations and to Maine snow loads.
This is a small Augusta shop: a small office, plus our crews. We’ve built across the Kennebec Valley since 2017.
Framer Jobs in Augusta, ME: The Work
- Lay out and frame walls, floors, and roof systems from prints.
- Set beams and headers to the sizes on the plan, not to the sizes that feel right.
- Sheath, wrap, and dry in a structure the same day it is opened.
- Keep the frame square, plumb, and on layout so the trades behind you are not fighting it.
What We Are Looking For
- Two or more years framing production or custom work.
- Comfortable working at height with proper fall protection.
- Able to read a plan set and a span table.
- Your own hand tools, a vehicle, and a clean enough record for our insurance.
Pay and Hours
We set pay during the interview based on what you can actually build.
Posting a pay band, then bargaining it down, wastes everybody’s morning. We won’t do it.
The Maine Department of Labor publishes wage data for building trades. And the Maine CareerCenter is worth checking before an interview.
Framing at height falls under OSHA's fall protection rules. We supply the harnesses and anchors.
