The terms that apply to using the Newman Homes website, kept separate from the construction contract that governs actual work.
The distinction matters. Nothing on this website is a binding offer or a quote. A price becomes real when it is written into a signed contract after somebody has visited the property, and this page says so directly.
It also covers the ordinary website terms: acceptable use, intellectual property, links out to other sites, limitation of liability, and which state's law applies.

Terms and Conditions for Using This Site
Use the site to learn about our work or contact us. Don’t interfere with it, scrape it at volume, or pass off its content as your own.
Unless otherwise credited, the text and images belong to Newman Homes. So does the layout.
Prices Published on This Site
Every price band is a qualifying range based on hundreds of past estimates. It is neither a quote nor an offer.
We price your project according to your property and scope, along with your finish selections. Only the amount in a signed written contract is binding.
We publish the bands because, frankly, they are more useful than requiring a phone call to learn whether our work fits your budget. They are not promises.
Estimates
A site visit and written estimate are free. Each estimate remains valid for the period stated on it.
Prices may change with material costs.
Neither side is bound until both sign a written agreement.
Contracts and Maine Law
The signed contract governs the work. This website does not.
Maine law applies to our agreements, including home construction contract rules that cap the initial payment at one third of the contract price.
If this site conflicts with a signed contract, the contract governs.
Permits and Approvals
We prepare permit applications and file them. The municipal code enforcement officer decides whether to approve them, and no contractor can guarantee approval.
Links to Other Sites
We provide links to code and trade association resources, as well as government sites. We don’t control those sites or accept responsibility for their content.
Limitation
This website is provided as is. We do our best to keep it accurate and current, but we don’t warrant that every figure applies to your situation.
Governing Law
The laws of the State of Maine govern these terms.
