How Much Home Remodeling China, ME Costs
We don’t publish a single whole-house price because there isn’t an honest one. We price room by room. Kitchen refreshes start at $28,000 when the layout stays put. A standard gut renovation with semi-custom cabinets and quartz runs $46,000 to $58,000 when the sink and range remain in place. Moving plumbing without removing a wall raises the range to $60,000 to $80,000. Remove the wall, install a beam and add a powered island, and the room runs $85,000 to $105,000. Custom cabinetry and stone add $15,000 to $25,000. Bathrooms are priced individually. $12,000 is the hard floor. A larger bath runs $18,000 to $25,000, while serious tile work puts the range at $25,000 to $35,000. Added square footage uses different math. New space starts near $280 per square foot and averages $320. Higher finish levels reach $350 to $400. Systems work doesn’t average well, so we price the panel, heat, insulation, windows, structural repairs and septic capacity for each house. These figures qualify a budget and are averaged across hundreds of quotes. No project lands exactly on the average. China houses sit in the middle band for finish work. How to Hire a Remodeling Contractor in China
One fact matters before you hand anyone a deposit: Maine has never issued a licensing credential to builders or general contractors.
Wiring and plumbing are different. Those trades require state credentials, and the tradespeople we use have them.
